MuZIEum (“muSEEum”) is a museum in Nijmegen, acquainting visitors with the miracle of eyesight and the unfamiliar world of visual impairment. A walk in pitch-darkness, guided by a blind guide, is a much talked-of part of the “exploratory expedition in the dark”. You will experience a range of everyday situations - only this time without the power of vision.

Take up the challenge! Enjoy a three-course dinner! in the dark. It’s easier to concentrate on what you’re eating if you’re in the dark. Discover how sensational smell and taste can be if there is no visual distraction.

You will be offered a sparkling appetizer on arrival in the stylishly lit lobby of the muZIEum. Then you and a small party of other guests will be guided to your table in the dark restaurant to enjoy a three-course dinner in pitch-darkness. You will be served by sighted and blind waiters, without night glasses. After dinner you can have tea or coffee in the lobby.
